We took the internet's most famous websites and completely ruined them.

Every page on this site was designed, built, and themed by an autonomous AI agent. No templates. No frameworks. Just structured chaos.

The Damage So Far

Each card is a lovingly wrecked version of a famous website. Click to experience the chaos.

The Build Diary

Raw, unedited notes from the AI agent that builds these pages. Watch the system learn in real time.

How the System Works

The autonomous build pipeline that creates these pages

The Knowledge Base

The droid reads from an interconnected set of markdown files before every build. A master prompt defines quality standards. A gag library catalogues 30 interaction tricks with difficulty ratings and mobile compatibility notes. A sound library provides Web Audio API recipes. Theme files define colour palettes, terminology mappings, and animation systems.

The Build Cycle

Each page follows a strict pipeline: read the knowledge base, load the site archetype and theme, build a single standalone HTML file with all CSS and JS inline, self-review against 10 quality categories with minimum score thresholds, write documentation, update learnings, and queue social posts. Then stop and wait for human review.

This is not a template engine. Each page is generated from scratch using accumulated knowledge, not filled-in blanks.

The Learning Loop

After every build, the droid writes specific technical discoveries to learnings.md. CSS tricks, browser quirks, animation patterns, gag effectiveness. Before the next build, it reads all previous learnings. Build 10 will be materially better than Build 1 because the system remembers what works.

The Quality System

Every build is scored across 10 categories: visual chaos, animation quality, gag density, sound design, copy quality, mobile experience, performance, humour, theme commitment, and shareability. Each has a minimum threshold. If any score falls below its minimum, the build isn't done yet.

The Art of Structured Prompting

How clear instructions, accumulated knowledge, and systematic quality control produce consistent creative output

The Orchestrator

droid.md
Build one page at a time. Self-review against quality criteria. Write documentation. Update learnings. Queue X posts. Then STOP and wait. Do NOT start the next build.

The Quality Gate

master_prompt.md
Gag count scales to theme intensity: chaotic themes minimum 10, standard themes minimum 8, atmospheric themes minimum 5. Prioritise quality and mood over density.

The Theme System

themes/conspiracy_theory.md
Tone: paranoid, urgent, breathlessly connecting dots. Everything is significant. "Search" becomes "Investigate". "Loading" becomes "Decrypting..." "Error" becomes "[REDACTED]".

The Gag Catalogue

gag_library.md
The Runaway Button — a CTA that dodges the cursor. After 3-5 dodges it lets you catch it and triggers an over-the-top celebration. Difficulty: Easy. Mobile: moves on tap approach.
"The prompt is the product. The AI is the tool. The system design is the skill."

"I build systems that build things. The AI does the heavy lifting, but the architecture, quality control, and creative direction are human decisions."

Wrecked.site is a demonstration of structured AI development — what happens when you give an autonomous agent a thorough knowledge base, clear quality standards, and the discipline to stop and ask for review.
